Steve Goddard brings over three decades of experience in the pensions industry across administration, governance, and the master trust market. He is the managing director of Goddard Perry, the CEO of HS Trustee and founder of the Salvus Master Trust, acquired by Cushon in 2020 (now NatWest Cushon).
Steve Goddard, Chair at Pension Lab, said:
“Transfer and consolidation journeys are coming under sharper scrutiny, and pensions dashboards will heighten expectations on how firms support consumers to make informed decisions. The FCA’s CP25/39 consultation reinforces that shift. Pension Lab helps providers and schemes deliver more consistent, measurable transfer and consolidation journeys, and I’ll support the team as it deepens partnerships across the market.”
Kevin Okell is a well-known figure in financial services technology. He founded Altus Consulting in 2005, building it into a specialist consultancy and automation business serving the advice, investment, and pensions sectors, and later led the business through its acquisition by Equisoft.
Kevin Okell, non-executive director at Pension Lab, commented:
“Transfers and consolidation should be designed around consumer outcomes - clearer information, fewer friction points and a smoother end-to-end journey. I’ll support the team as Pension Lab continues to develop its technology to help platforms and providers deliver those outcomes.”
Scott Phillips, CEO and founder of Pension Lab, said:
“Steve and Kevin's appointments strengthen our board as we enter the next growth stage. Steve adds deep pensions governance and operational leadership, and Kevin brings extensive fintech strategy and automation experience. Their insight and support are important as we scale our technology to meet rising expectations on transfer and consolidation across platforms and providers.”
